Helping those in need.
Advent Giving Tree.
“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
Our Advent Giving Tree may not have been physically present in the Gathering Space this year, but it was certainly present in the spirit of our community! Through your generous donations of cash and gift cards, we were able to serve local families with children and a variety of agencies serving people in need with the same commitment of support as we have in the past.
If you listen with your hearts, you may hear God whispering to you the words Jesus heard at his baptism: “...with you I am well pleased.”
Your generosity brought Christmas blessings to…
Children of families served by St. Vincent de Paul
Mary’s Children Family Center for brain injury recovery
St. Aloysius/Franciscan Ministries “neighborhood ministry” to the homeless, working poor, & seniors in Detroit
St. Vincent de Paul Archdiocesan ministry to prisoners & newly released inmates
Turning Point shelter for domestic violence victims & survivors in Macomb County
MCWARM warming center, a gathering place for the homeless in Macomb County
St Leo’s Soup Kitchen, serving meals to the homeless in Detroit
The Good Eggs Foundation, meeting the basic needs of children
To these organizations, all who donated, and our Giving Tree Team, thank you for being the “light of Christ” to the “least among us” this Christmas and throughout the year!
