Lectors

Lectors are ordinary people who perform an extraordinary ministry of proclaiming the Word of God. A lector must be able to speak in front of people and have the desire to take the message of the writer to the heart of the listener. Those who serve as Lectors delve deeper into scripture and prepare in advance of Mass, practicing their proclamation and seeking to better understand the Scriptures. This ministry is for anyone with polished speaking skills and has received the sacrament of Confirmation. Lectors are trained by the Pastoral Associate and are generally scheduled one to two times per month.
